Pyme Certification in Costa Rica

The Pyme Certification, granted by the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Commerce (MEIC) of Costa Rica, is a key tool for the growth and development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the country. This certification classifies companies according to their size (number of employees and annual income) and gives them access to exclusive benefits such as preferential financing, tax exemptions, training and participation in business networks. In addition, certified SMEs have priority in State purchases and can access technical support and advice to improve their competitiveness in the market.

RED SOFIA Program

The program promotes gender equality in the tourism industry, good practices in tourist safety, and encourages the entry and pleasant stay of tourists in the destination. It was born within the framework of an institutional support agreement between the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT) and the National Institute for Women (INAMU). It is also closely linked to Sustainable Development Goal No. 5, which seeks gender equality to build a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world.
The SOFIA NETWORK is a symbol that represents a network of companies, people and communities committed to generating trust for all tourists who travel through our country, sharing the value of equality to create the best travel experience and a safe stay.

Hecho en Monteverde

Hecho en Monteverde is a consortium of entrepreneurs from the Monteverde area. They promote authentic and educational products and experiences. At the same time, they encourage the enjoyment of natural and cultural wealth, always hand in hand with environmental conservation and the sustainability of local communities. They are backed by their seal of quality and the designation of origin.

Fondo Comunitario de Monteverde

Community foundations are nonprofit donor institutions dedicated to improving the quality of life of people in a specific geographic area. They pool financial resources from individuals, families, and businesses to support nonprofit organizations and initiatives in their communities. The Monteverde Community Fund is one of two such foundations in Costa Rica (Fondo Comunitario Guanacaste).
