Half-Day Specialized Birdwatching Walk

Thanks to its privileged location, Monteverde has become one of the best references for bird watching throughout the year in Costa Rica, especially between the months of April and June, the nesting season months of unique cloud forest species such as the Quetzal, which also coincides with the migration season of the famous Bellbird.

Full-Day Specialized Birdwatching Walk

Monteverde has a record of almost 600 bird species of the 935 species that exist in the country for 2024, which represent approximately 10% of the endemic birds in the country. When we talk about endemism, we refer to a species whose geographical range is limited.

Night Guided Tour with Night Vision goggles(Little Groups 8 Max)

The Night Walk is carried out mainly with mixed groups of a maximum of 8 to 10 people, including families, couples and single people. It is focused on the relationship between amphibians and reptiles and climate change indicators. During the tour, information on the organization's management is accessed due to the knowledge of what the forest is, providing an interpretation.

Natural History Walk

The Natural History Walk is focused on transmitting knowledge about the ecology of the cloud forest, which due to climate change is threatened and in transition to becoming a rainforest. This type of walk has the ability to show the main characteristics of the dynamics of the forest in the Monteverde area.

Rituals of the Forest: Nature-Based Wellness Day

This wellness tour is designed for those looking to disconnect from daily stress and reconnect with nature and their inner well-being. Along gentle hikes on trails surrounded by lush vegetation, participants engage in guided meditation sessions, conscious breathing exercises, and outdoor yoga.

In Search of Monteverde’s Unique Species

This tour is designed for wildlife observers who want a more specialized approach. The tour focuses on the identification and observation of endemic species of birds, orchids, mammals, reptiles and amphibians that are very rare in the region, with highly qualified guides who provide detailed information and access to less explored areas of the cloud forest.

Monteverde Conservation Experience

In collaboration with local conservation organizations, this tour offers tourists the opportunity to actively participate in reforestation and wildlife conservation projects. Participants plant trees, learn about conservation efforts in the region and how they can contribute in the long term.

This tour is designed for amateur and professional photographers looking to capture the beauty of Monteverde. Guided by an expert photographer and a naturalist, participants visit the best locations to photograph birds, insects, landscapes and flora. Hanging Bridges Tour

Delve into the heart of Monteverde's biodiversity with an unforgettable experience at Selvatura Park's Hanging Bridges. This guided tour offers a fascinating walk along a series of bridges suspended between the treetops, giving you a unique and privileged perspective of the cloud forest from above.

Monteverde from Within: A Rural Community Experience

San Luis is located in the Tilarán mountain range and belongs to the Monteverde district of the Puntarenas province. The population of San Luis is about 350 people. This community is located 15 minutes from the Monteverde Reserve, but has not yet developed its tourism potential, as its interest is focused on not losing its identity.

Flavors of the Forest: Ethnobotanical & Culinary Journey

This tour focuses on edible and medicinal plants that grow in the region. Guided by an ethnobotanical expert, participants learn about plants that have been used by local communities for centuries. The tour culminates with a tasting of traditional dishes prepared with ingredients collected during the hike.
