Monteverde Conservation Experience

In collaboration with local conservation organizations, this tour offers tourists the opportunity to actively participate in reforestation and wildlife conservation projects. Participants plant trees, learning about conservation efforts in the region and how they can contribute in the long term.

It contains elements such as:

Native Plant Nursery: A place where native plants are grown for reforestation projects, allowing tourists to learn about the importance of ecological restoration and participate in tree planting.

Biological Corridors: Areas designated for the creation of ecological corridors, where tourists can work on planting trees to connect habitats fragmented by human intervention.

Wildlife Rescue Center: A center that is dedicated to the rehabilitation of injured or orphaned animals, where participants can learn about conservation efforts and the importance of maintaining healthy ecosystems.

Community Reforestation Project: An area in which the local community is involved in reforestation projects, where tourists can work alongside residents in planting trees and conservation.

Duration: 4 hours

Itinerary:

  • 8:00 AM - Reception and Welcome:* Introduction to the reforestation and conservation project.
  • 8:15 AM - Project Presentation:* Explanation of the environmental impact and the importance of the project.
  • 8:45 AM - Tree Planting:* Active participation in the planting of trees in designated areas.
  • 10:00 AM - Ecological Walk:* Tour of previously reforested areas, with information on the recovery of the ecosystem.
  • 11:00 AM - Conservation Workshop:* Interactive talk on conservation practices and how tourists can contribute from their homes.
  • 11:45 AM - Closing and Farewell:* Reflection on the experience, delivery of participation certificates and photos Group tours.
