Half-Day Specialized Birdwatching Walk

Thanks to its privileged location, Monteverde has become one of the best references for bird watching throughout the year in Costa Rica, especially between the months of April and June, the nesting season months of unique cloud forest species such as the Quetzal, which also coincides with the migration season of the famous Bellbird.

Monteverde has a record of almost 600 bird species of the 935 species that exist in the country for 2024, which represent approximately 10% of the endemic birds in the country. When we talk about endemism, we refer to a species whose geographical range is limited.

This tour is designed for amateur and professional photographers looking to capture the beauty of Monteverde. Guided by an expert photographer and a naturalist, participants visit the best locations to photograph birds, insects, landscapes and flora. Practical workshops on outdoor photography techniques are also included.

Natural History Walk

The Natural History Walk is focused on transmitting knowledge about the ecology of the cloud forest, which due to climate change is threatened and in transition to becoming a rainforest. This type of walk has the ability to show the main characteristics of the dynamics of the forest in the Monteverde area.
