Gastronomic and Ethnobotanical Tour
This tour focuses on edible and medicinal plants that grow in the region. Guided by an ethnobotanical expert, participants learn about plants that have been used by local communities for centuries. The tour culminates with a tasting of traditional dishes prepared with ingredients collected during the hike.
It contains elements such as:
Community Organic Gardens: Visits to gardens managed by local communities, where traditional ingredients are grown. Here, tourists can learn about sustainable farming techniques and pick some ingredients.
Agroecological Farm: A farm that practices sustainable and regenerative farming methods, where visitors can see how the food they will use in the cooking workshop is grown.
Local Produce Market: A stop at a small local market or cooperative, where participants can purchase fresh ingredients and local crafts.
Traditional Kitchen: An outdoor kitchen or at a typical ranch, where local dishes can be prepared and tasted in an authentic setting.

Itinerary
- 9:00 AM - Reception and Welcome: Presentation of the guide and the ethnobotanical approach of the tour.
- 9:15 AM - Ethnobotanical Walk: Tour through the forest identifying edible plants and medicinal, with detailed explanations of their traditional uses.
- 10:45 AM - Ingredient Collection: Break to collect ingredients that will be used in the tasting.
- 11:15 AM - Local Cooking Workshop: Preparation of traditional dishes using the collected ingredients. Active participation of tourists.
- 12:00 PM - Lunch and Tasting: Enjoy the prepared dishes along with an explanation of the history and meaning of each one.
- 12:45 PM - Closing and Farewell: Reflection on the experience and additional recommendations on local gastronomy.
